How to find a good Salt Lake City Plumber?

There are a number of ways to find a good Salt Lake City plumber. The Better Business Bureau, and Angie’s List are two of the best resources.

Next question is, who should I call? We are not in an emergency, so we’re not trying to get whoever we can over here, but we want to find a good plumber. I think about, what would I do if I needed a good mechanic or a good electrician or something? Well, that’s not a good question because I know a lot of them. Something that I don’t know, okay? Well, first of all, I’d look at the Better Business Bureau. It’s free, you can get online, look there and see. A lot of the times they have sponsored people. Let’s say, you just find somebody in the phone book or online. Just to check them out, look at the Better Business Bureau. Also, if you have access to Angie’s List. It costs about less than $100 a year. You can get real reviews from people on that. Look at Angie’s List. We’re triple A on Better Business Bureau, we have the best rating you can on Angie’s List which is A. Those are two good resources. Of course another way to find another good plumber is to ask your friends. They might have somebody that can help you out there, but if they don’t, and you’re looking for a plumber, that’s the way I’d do it. Unfortunately, if you go to Google, and they have reviews on plumbers.

There’s a lot of times I’ve seen reviews where they’ve been not exactly done by consumers but by companies themselves, which is kind of scary. Take the time to investigate the plumber or technician or trade you want out there, make sure he’s got some good references. You might even ask him, “Hey, do you have some references?” And most good tradesmen will say, “you can call so or-so or so-and-so.” They will help you get a reference so you can know. Of course, you want to know what their guarantees are if there’s a screw-up. You want to absolutely make sure they have insurance. Some of you ask us if we have insurance, we have a little paper we show you, yeah, we have insurance. A lot of people ask if we have a license. That is easy enough to check, you go to your state board and check to see if this guy has a license. Any plumber should be able to roll of his license number to you and get that to you. There are some good ways you can find a good plumber.
