Do you provide Plumbing Estimates over the phone?

At Expert Plumbing, Heating, Air and Electrical in Salt Lake City, we can provide a rough estimate over the phone, but it is best to have us come out and provide an accurate bid.

That’s a hard question to ask, because so many people, you can’t look through the phone to see what the problem is. So, if you can’t look through the phone to see what the problem is, you can’t give an accurate estimate over the phone. Or you could take 10, 15, 20 minutes, give an accurate enough estimate and then try to give it over the phone. Problem with that is, most people say, “Hey, you said it was going to be this over the phone. That’s why I called you out.”

Well, you can’t see everything. So, what we generally like to do, is charge a small service fee, generally around $29.

• We come out.
• We look at the problem exactly.
• We look at everything and see what it is that needs to be done,
• and then we usually apply the $29 to the cost of the price.
• We give you exact price. Upfront price.
• We call it our straight forward pricing guide.

Actually this is it right here. Once we find out which category it’s under, we tell you exactly what the price is. There are some adjustments we can make sometimes depending on how easy or hard it is. Then, we write up the estimate, and if it takes me an hour to do it or 5 hours to do it, you got the exact price where we do the job for you. We give you everything upfront, an upfront price.
